On Saturday 9 March 2019, at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town, READ to RISE won a Western Cape Cultural Affairs Award for Best Collaborative Public Library Programme/Project.
Athol Williams (Co-Founder and Chairman), Taryn Lock (Co-Founder and Executive Director) and Roscoe Williams (Programme Manager) happily accepted the award.
